we developed and posted a manifesto online, espousing the radical idea that schools should not be about human capital.

 

Step 2: Outraged comments.

 

We allowed people to make comments for just one week, during which time the manifesto made its way around the world.

 

Step 3: Thoughtful analysis.

 

We deconstructed the various comments to discover what is holding up reform and to find a new way forward.
